Friends of the Big Timber Carnegie Public Library, Inc.

Mission Statement

1. To focus public attention on the Big Timber Carnegie Public Library; to stimulate the use of the library’s resources and services; to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library; to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for Big Timber and Sweet Grass County; and to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

2. Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, education, and literary purposes under section 501 C(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify under the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

The Corporation may also have and exercise any and all powers, rights and privileges which a corporation organized under the Montana Nonprofit Corporation Act by law may now or hereafter have or exercise except as limited by these Articles.
