Treasurer’s Report:
Balance as of
WWII Books and Book donations: Jacque reported the WWII books are in the process of being catalogued and shelved. These books will be on the inter-library loan program. A large donation of inspirational fiction has been received. These are shelved and ready to be checked out by patrons.
Beccy asked for ideas for the 2009 bazaar. She thought about selling decorative pillows, and monogrammed pillows.
The possibility of utilizing E-Bay for selling some of the books is still being discussed.
The most recent up-coming event will be the Soup and Bread Luncheon in February.
Nancy and Jacque will get one of the Rad-Grad trees for the Library. Next year the plan is to get two trees, one for upstairs and one for the open room downstairs.
Another idea discussed for next year is a Make an Ornament/Get a Book for the younger kids. If they come in on specified days and make an ornament for the Library Christmas Tree, they will be able to choose a free book as a gift. Books would be donated by individuals or purchased with donated monies.
